Site Excavation & Sub-Base Installation: We began by removing the existing turf and excavating the entire area to the require depth, preparing a clean and level base for the new installation. Then we laid a Type 1 MOT hardcore sub-base and thoroughly compacted it to create a stable and long lasting foundation for the driveway.
Driveway Installation: Edge restraints were fitted around the perimeter to define the layout and hold the paving securely in place. We then applied a sharp sand screed layer and levelled it, providing the perfect bedding for the block paving. The next step was to install high-quality block paving in a complementary colour blend, it was laid in a precise and durable pattern with a subtle gradient to allow for effective drainage.
Finishing Touches: Once laid the blocks were compacted and kiln-dried sand was brushed into the joints to lock them in place and stabilise the surface. Lastly, we laid fresh turf to the adjoining lawn area, enhancing the overall appearance and adding a neat, green contrast to the new driveway.
