Site Excavation & Sub-Base Installation: We began by excavating the entire area to a suitable depth, removing all loose materials, debris, and topsoil. A solid Type 1 MOT sub-base was laid across the full area and compacted in layers to form a stable foundation for the new driveway, designed with a subtle gradient to promote natural water runoff.
Precision Edging & Feature Detailing: We installed contrasting dark grey block edging to frame the driveway and walkways. Particular care was taken around the perimeter and entrance, creating clean lines and enhancing the overall structure. Curved edging guided a dedicated pathway to the front door, blending practicality with visual appeal.
Block Paving Installation: The main driveway surface was laid using light grey block paving in a 45-degree herringbone pattern, offering strength, grip, and a timeless finish. A darker border strip was inset around the perimeter and the walkway, giving the design a sharp, high-contrast look. Each block was laid on a full bed of sharp sand and jointed with kiln-dried sand for a long-lasting, stable surface.
