Our team recently completed a beautiful block paved driveway at a home in Ashford, Kent. The old driveway was uneven and overgrown, offering little visual appeal. The goal was to create a clean, strong, and stylish new surface that would enhance both the look and functionality of the property.

Process:
Excavation & Ground Preparation: We began by removing the existing driveway and excavating the area to the required depth, ensuring a clean and even foundation for the new surface.
Sub-Base Installation: A new hardcore foundation was supplied and laid, then compacted to form a solid, stable base.
Edging Kerbs: Raised charcoal edging kerbs were fitted along both sides of the driveway to frame the design neatly and provide edge stability.
Geo-Textile Membrane & Sand Layer: A durable membrane layer was installed to prevent weed growth and improve overall ground stability. We then added and levelled a layer of sharp sand, compacting it to create the perfect bedding layer for the blocks.
Block Paving Installation: The Brindle blocks were laid in a 45° herringbone pattern for extra strength and visual appeal, bordered with matching charcoal edging for a crisp, defined finish.
Finishing Touches: Finally, the surface was brushed with kiln-dried sand and compacted to lock the blocks securely in place, completing the driveway with a smooth, professional finish.
