Process:

Professional Foundation: As with all our projects, the entire area was excavated, and a robust, compacted sub-base was installed to ensure a stable and durable finish that will stand the test of time. The slabs were laid on a full mortar bed and jointed with a hard-wearing compound.

Flowing Pathways: A new pathway was installed from the front of the property, running alongside contemporary slatted fencing and a new gravelled area, leading seamlessly into the main rear garden. This creates a practical and visually pleasing journey around the property.

Expansive Rear Patio: The path opens out into a large, expansive patio at the rear of the house, providing ample space for the outdoor furniture and social gatherings. The patio extends across the back of the home, accessible from multiple doorways.

Contrasting Edging: To define the paved areas and create a sharp, clean finish, the entire patio and pathway system is framed with a charcoal-coloured block paving border. This dark edge provides a striking contrast with the lighter grey sandstone and neatly contains the soft landscaping areas.

Attention to Detail: Quality workmanship is evident in the details. A recessed manhole cover was integrated into the patio, with sandstone slabs cut to fit perfectly, ensuring it is both accessible and almost invisible. The paving was laid in a random pattern with multiple slab sizes, adding visual interest and character.
