This project in Biddenden involved the complete overhaul of a large, uneven gravel driveway to create a sleek, durable, and spacious tarmac surface with a stylish block paved border.

Process:
Site Clearance & Excavation: The first job was to clear the entire area. The old gravel and any underlying debris were excavated and removed from the site, creating a clean canvas to work from.
Edging & Drainage Installation: With the ground cleared, we installed a charcoal block paved border around the entire perimeter. This not only creates a decorative frame but also acts as a retaining edge for the new tarmac. A new ACO drainage channel was also installed along the side of the house to ensure that any surface water is efficiently carried away, preventing any future water damage.
Sub-Base Installation: A new MOT Type 1 hardcore sub-base was laid across the entire area. This was then rolled and compacted with a machine roller to create a solid and stable foundation, which is crucial for the longevity of the new driveway.
Tarmac Laying & Compacting: Finally, a high-quality tarmac was professionally laid across the entire surface. This was then rolled and compacted while still hot to create a smooth, dense, and durable finish that will stand the test of time and weather.
